The much anticipated 2012 Ferrari FF is the heir to the 612 Scaglietti, and it takes the place as Ferrari’s flagship grand Tourer. The FF has four seats like its precursor, but at the same time draws out the roofline and gets a shooting hatchback/brake body-style, which offers plethora of cabin space and with the rear seats folded down, cargo space equivalent to small wagons.

The all new 2012 Ferrari FF GT sports car concept will be making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and the production version of the car will enter by 2012.

Interior And Exterior:

The 2012 Ferrari FF has been designed by Pininfarina, and has a shooting brake-like body style. The front design of the car is apparently inspired by the 458 Italia and a huge rear hatch. As said by Ferrari the new FF model has the capacity to accommodate around 4 people and their luggage, due to the boot capacity of 450 liters in normal and 800 with the rear seats down and the generous cabin space.

Ferrari will be offering a wide array of accessories and personalization alternatives, including 6 model-specific model colors and extravagant interior trim comprising especially treated and selected aniline leather.

The latest Ferrari will be available in a wide range of color options, including Hanus Gold, Avorio, Scuderia Rosso Corsa, Rosso Rubino, Blue California, Bianco, Nero, Verde Zeltweg, Blue Dubai, Blue Tour de France, Marrone, Rosso Mugello, Grigio Silverstone and Giallo Modena.

Power is something that has always been a highlight for the Ferraris, and the 2012 Ferrari FF is no exception. The hood of the FF conceals a 6,262 cc direct injection V12 engine, which generates humongous power of 660 HP @8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 503 lbs-ft @6,000 rpm. Such impressive power of the 2012 Ferrari FF is capable of taking the FF from 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and will be having a top speed of 208 mph.

The V12 under the hood is paired with a transaxle dual-clutch F1 gearbox. The weight-to-power ratio for the FF is 2.7 kg/CV, which for this section of the market is rather impressive.

When Can I Drive One Home?

The 2012 Ferrari FF concept will be debuting at the Geneva Motor Show, and after the debut, the company will start manufacturing the production version. Though, it’s hard to predict when the car will go on sale, but we don’t expect it to hit the markets before the end of 2012. If you are thinking of driving one home than, will have to pay around $700k.

Rivals Of 2012 Ferrari FF

We don’t have a lot of prominent offerings in the shooting-brake coupe department, but as far as 4 doors GTs are concerned, there are a lot of available in market: the Maserati Quattroporte, the Mercedes-Benz CLS and the Porsche Panamera. Obviously, this is a completely different car market having totally different customers, not to mention that all those models are totally different and are a lot cheaper than the FF. The biggest asset for the FF is that it is a Ferrari, which holds an upper hand in the auto market.
